Anatomy of Recovery

I'm Jules, a 23 year old recent college graduate, currently working and applying for grad school. I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa when I was 14. I'm 100% committed to recovery because I know how amazing it can be. This blog is about my journey and any help and inspiration I can offer others on their own journeys.
I tag all my personal pics "julespic" so that you can block the tag if you find them triggering. I also tag all photos of food with the "food" tag in case they are triggering to you.

Has anyone done DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy) for Eating Disorder treatment?

How was it?  Did you find it helpful?  I might be start going to a DBT group for ED soon.

  1. tenacioustttabby answered: very helpful. It seems dumb at first but stick with it!
  2. thdandeliongirl answered: it’s not easy. it doesn’t come quickly. but it does help… as long as you actually practice the skills that are taught
  3. fragile---bird answered: I’ve done some DBT. I think it’s more helpful/applicable than CBT, at least for me! I find it a bit easier.
  4. inocenceandinstinct answered: I’ve done it within treatment (like a group once a week). It was pretty helpful, but I preferred CBT
  5. dieinmywonderland answered: i want to get into a treatment center soon too.. good luck stay strong:)
